In her words...

I feel like I was born to help. I am gifted at teaching people and empowering others to make real and tangible changes. I do not think I am preachy, instead, people seek me out because they see how it works in my life. I am a "go to" person for general natural health and wellness concerns, fitness and exercise questions and plans, diet and nutrition advice and suggestions, career advice, reviewing/writing resumes, relationship advice, and just the one to listen and bounce ideas off of.

I found these informal coaching relationships with her friends, family, co-workers, and students to be more rewarding than training for big business and thus decided to change my company, Galiji, to focus on individuals.

I love life and try to live every day to its fullest with a grateful and open heart. I also love the big and little adventures that life offers… be that little adventures like getting stuck rollerblading in the rain to big adventures like skydiving to exploring caves and ruins.

  • Spiritually, I practice yoga, breath work (pranayama) and mantra and mindfulness meditation to help connect my mind and body, keep me peaceful and grounded.
  • Physically, my regular personal fitness routine includes yoga, biking, hiking, barre, kayaking, rebounding/bouncing and occassionally rollerblading.  I try to move every day and just listen to what I need most.
  • Nutritionally, I am a vegetarian and do my best to eat a S.O.U.L food diet (seasonal, organic, unprocessed, and local).
  • Medicinally, I believe that holistic natural medicine with proper fitness, massage/body work, and nutrition are the best path for me.  I have found the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and Tradtional Chinese Medicine to be very effective at keeping me healthy, balanced, and hopefully living a long, able life.

As a coach and trainer, I  practices from my heart and teaches what I know. I know that change comes from within and that you have to be ready and truly accepting of the change for it “to stick”. I know that we each have the potential to change our life and to be truly at peace and content. I get deep gratification from helping people to see what they already have inside of them to make their lives better.

In big business training, I have consulted with clients on Learning, Change Management, and Project Management. My portfolio includes work with prestigious companies including: Accenture, International Paper, Dell Computers, US Bank, Sony Electronics, Nortel Networks, Johnson & Johnson and Caterpillar, just to name a few. In addition to corporate consulting work, I have also held positions at University of South Florida working with consultants and doctors to utilize electronic health records, Minnesota State University, Mankato working with leadership development and event planning and Pasco-Hernando State College as an academic advisor.

From my early days of being part of the Peer Helper program in elementary school to corporate training to a degree in helping people, I have spent my entire life helping and supporting others in some fashion and I am ready to help you!

Who I Am.

A poem by Becky Brown

What I consistently think is what I will believe
What I believe determines how I will act
How I act, what I believe, and what I think define who I am
Who I am is a conscious decision
If I seek change, I must first think it, then believe it, and then act on it
I can control my life and who I am
Think, believe, and act like the person you want to be

Do you thoughts help you become the person you want to be or are they keeping you stuck at some point along the path?  Coaching with Galiji can help you examine your thinking, create new thought patterns to drive your actions towards a positive, healthy future.

Practicing what she teaches....
